There are two main aspects of this project, the technical side of work that we study here at Typhoon Legacy, and the human side of the Typhoon story. While the team at Typhoon Legacy is immersed in technical details and production work, we are fortunate to cooperate with Anne Gafiuk to share the excellent work she has done documenting the stories of Canadian Typhoon crews. For details on these amazing men, please follow the link The Typhoon Project below.
|Anne Gafiuk is a former elementary school teacher from Calgary, Alberta. During her research into WWII RCAF pilots for a fictional story, she became very interested in vintage aircraft, the people involved with them and their history, taking her on a new flight of discovery.
She is the author of three books: Wings Over High River, December 2012, She Made Them Family, November 2015, and Quietus: Last Fight, November 2017, all published by the Bomber Command Museum of Canada. Her novel continues to wait!
